Data Deletion Request
SKYLIN VPN is developed by Sahand Ghandehari. You can ask us to delete data associated with your use of SKYLIN VPN, including the SKYLIN VPN Android app and the skylinvpn.com waitlist, by emailing privacy@skylinvpn.com.
Email privacy@skylinvpn.com with the subject SKYLIN VPN Data Deletion Request. No app or sign-in is needed.
No accounts in the current release
The current release of SKYLIN VPN does not provide user accounts or sign-in. This page is for deleting data associated with your use of SKYLIN VPN. Account deletion, passwords and subscription cancellation do not apply to the current release.
1. How to request deletion
- Email privacy@skylinvpn.com.
- Use the subject “SKYLIN VPN Data Deletion Request”.
- Include only what we need to find your records. If you joined the waitlist, send the request from the email address you signed up with. If your request is about the Android app, say so.
Please don’t send passwords, payment details, ID documents or other sensitive information. We won’t ask for them.
2. What data may be deleted
Founding 5,000 waitlist (skylinvpn.com)
If you joined the waitlist, your record and everything linked to it can be deleted:
- Your email address and first name (if you gave one).
- The date and version of the email consent you agreed to, and your email preferences.
- Your referral code, your place in line, verified referral count, rewards and weekly standing, and the records of who invited you and who joined through your link.
- Attribution: the campaign tags and landing page from the link you arrived through, and your country.
- Abuse-prevention signals: keyed one-way hashes of your IP address, network and a random device identifier, and any fraud-review notes about your entry.
- A log of the emails we sent you, and your sign-in links and dashboard sessions.
Deleting your entry removes these linked records. People you invited keep their own entries, without the link to you.
SKYLIN VPN Android app
As described in our Privacy Policy, the app involves technical information about the app and its installation and operational metadata about VPN connections. Because the current release has no accounts, tell us your request is about the app and we will delete any such data we can associate with you.
SKYLIN VPN does not intentionally store the contents of your browsing. Traffic through the VPN is processed transiently to encrypt and forward it.
3. Retention and exceptions
Even without a request, some records are removed automatically:
- Abuse-prevention hashes are cleared about 90 days after you confirm your email, or about 90 days after signing up if you never confirm.
- Confirmation links expire after 72 hours and sign-in links after 1 hour. Both are deleted 7 days after they expire.
- Dashboard sessions expire after 120 days and are deleted once expired.
- Your waitlist record is kept until you ask us to delete it or the waitlist program ends.
- VPN connection metadata is kept only as long as needed to operate, secure and troubleshoot the service.
We may keep limited information where necessary for security, to prevent fraud or repeat abuse, or to meet legal obligations.
4. What happens after you send a request
We review your request and confirm enough information to locate the relevant data. We then delete the data that applies, apart from anything we must keep for the reasons above, and reply to let you know the outcome.
